RHETT REAL ESTATE, INC. is a family owned company and one of the oldest established real estate companies in Columbus, Mississippi.

In 1959, Munford Rhett, an insurance salesman at the time, decided he was ready for a life change.  Little did he know, the change he pursued would endure for at least two more generations and impact many lives and families along the way.

After earning his real estate license, Munford began a new form of real estate agency, one that departed from the traditional combined insurance and real estate practice in the late 1950’s.  Kathryn, Munford’s wife, followed suite of her husband and later procured her real estate license and the rest is history.  They walked together, believing they would create a competitive, viable organization with a commitment to customer service and bring agents into their office with the highest standards as he realized it was a reflection of the Rhett family name.

The two worked hard through the years committing weekends and holidays.  Their children, their spouses and grandchildren grew to share the same passion for the business and currently have an active roll at Rhett Real Estate, Inc.

Munford’s vision became the life work of his entire family and in-house agents to leave a legacy of treating clients with integrity, professionalism and honesty.  He would often repeat to agents, “If you treat others as you would want to be treated, you will be successful!”  Today, Rhett Real Estate has over 250 years of combined experience and would appreciate the opportunity to allow our experienced agents to assist you whether a sale or purchase of a  home, hunting or recreational land, renting/leasing, property management, custom building or commercial building throughout the Southeast.
